Ironically, The Burger Bros are actually owned and operated by two women. I think the name is catchy and gives that quintessentially Kiwi flavour of hospitality and familiarity. We found the truck in a car park with a couple of cars already waiting for orders. That distinct and glorious smell of searing meat on the grill hit us as we pulled up beside them.
It’s a tricky thing calling yourself a gourmet burger joint, actually gourmet-anything comes with the expectation of Insta-worthy burgers packed with flavour. Especially at the price point, because anything gourmet is not cheap, but I feel The Wagon is good value for money. I’ve certainly never left hungry, and that one time I ordered fries with that, I felt gluttonous to say the least.
